The #SummerClassic

It is almost here! The 1st Annual CrossFitLove #SummerClassic. We are very excited to bring the region's CrossFit Community together for an awesome night.

Here are the details for Saturday’s Event:

The Timeline: 

330PM: Registration Begins (We are asking all athletes to register by 430PM)
430PM: Athlete Meeting (Welcome, Standards, Expectations)
500PM: Event 1
600PM: Event 2 Heat 1
730PM: Event 3 Heat 1
845PM: The Finals – Women Compete First, Then Men
Individual CrossFit athletes at ‘The Summer Classic’ will compete in a elimination competition that will test a wide array of CrossFit skills. In each event, athletes will earn points based on their finish order. The top 8 male and female athletes with the most accumulated points will compete in The Finale. Athletes will be cut after Event 2 and Event 3. The descriptions of the workouts are below:

Event 1: The Ones 

Athletes will have 45 minutes to complete the following three workouts.
1:00 AMRAP of Box Jumps 24″ M / 20″ F
1:00 AMRAP of Burpees
1:00 AMRAP of Strict Pullups
(AMRAP stands for AS MANY REPS AS POSSIBLE)

Event 2: The AMRAP 

Athletes will complete a 5:00 AMRAP of the following:
10 Back Squats 135 M / 95 F (The athlete must take the load from the ground)
20 Double Unders
After Event 2, the field will be cut to 70 athletes (35 men and 35 women will advance)

Event 3: The Clean Ladder

Athletes will have 1:00 to perform a version of the clean with the prescribed loads:
Men Weight: 185, 205, 225, 255, 275, 305, 315
Female Weight: 105, 115, 135, 145, 165, 185, 205
Tie breaker: Within the time allotted, the athlete may perform barbell pushups for points, in case there are any ties on each clean weight.
After Event 3, the field will be cut to 16 athletes (8 men and 8 women will advance)

Event 4: The Finale

The first male and female athlete to complete the following will be your overall winner.
Men:
3 Deadlifts @ 315 then
3 Rounds of: Pullups x 21, HSPU x 15, Ring Dips x 9 then
3 Deadlifts @ 315 then
The athletes must take all the plates off the bar then move the plates up the Piazza stairs and create two stacks of 3 plates, side by side, then the first athlete to stand on those two stacks will be crowned the winner.
Females:
3 Deadlifts @ 225 then
3 Rounds of: Pullups x 21, HSPU x 15, Ring Dips x 9 then
3 Deadlifts @ 225 then
The athletes must take all the plates off the bar then move the plates up the Piazza stairs and create two stacks of 3 side by side then the first athlete to stand on the two stacks will be crowned The Summer Classic winner.
